Artist Statement

As a photographer, I am interested in capturing emotions symbolically through dramatic portraiture. I utilize contrast, exposure, and a range of values and tones to convey my concepts. I am inspired by the female identity, and the unique circumstances I find myself in as a woman today. I am interested in ideas related to voyeurism and the curiosities that come along with the unknown.

As a ceramicist, I am eager to bring people together with my work and revive the feeling of wholeness that comes along with owning a piece of work forged by hand and heart.
